Inspiration

Well, week one back to school after the holidays. Already the assignments are piling up! I was thinking about my next weeks board assignment from Sarah. The assignment is to pick a song or poem and then create a photo that depicts the same mood as the song or poem. That means she does NOT want us to illustrate it but just replicate the feel/mood. Okay, just try it- every time I think about a certain song I see some sort of subject mentioned in the lyrics of that song. Or sometimes the actual music/ beat reminds me of certain subject-but she doesn't want that either. I've given this about 3 days worth of thought and research. Ever try to recall the words to a song- I mean those words after the first 5  and not just the chorus??? It's pretty hard unless your a wedding singer, or something similar. I got out all my beloved CD's to see which ones actually could help me with  the words to their songs. I think I scored only about 2!!!! Don't these groups want the average person singing along with songs!??? I was relieved that one of the 2 was my fav., group from -(ready for this) 1984. Yes, I was a HUGE Chicago fan, and the proud purchaser of not one but 3 Chicago 17 CD's! (I wore out the first 2-no that's not correct my first one was actually a cassette. Okay, by now you can envision leg warmers, big hair, and baggy pants.  I loved the song You're the Inspiration. When I hear this song I always feel so lifted up and inspired!!! Now about the photo to go with- I had to think of something inspiring. I came up with a few ideas but nothing inspires me more than a great sunset or sunrise! What a way to look at the up coming day or to end one! I also am inspired by new growth on plants or flowers( It's the gardener in me). So, I was so amazed when I came home today and noticed that my Peace Lily had a flower in my front window and the sun was setting down behind it casting beautiful colors in the sky. I think someone was trying to tell me some thing like...GRAB THE CAMERA QUICK!  I started with the above picture and then the next 5 minutes where magical. The next hour was also quite enjoyable as I did a little editing in Iphoto. I can hardly wait till tomorrow to do some more editing in Lightroom at school. Enjoy the picture and the lyrics- and if you can- just hum the tune as you go along....

You know our love was meant to be
The kind of love that lasts forever
And I need you here with me
From tonight until the end of time...

You should know, everywhere I go
You're always on my mind, in my heart
In my soul....

Chorus:
You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You're the inspiration
Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin'
No one needs you more than I need you.

And I know,yes I know that it's
plain to see
We're so in love when we're together
And I know that I need you here with me
from tonight until the end of time...

You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to me life
You're the inspiration
Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin'
No one needs you more than I need you....

You should know, everywhere I go
Always on my mind, in my heart
In my soul....

Chorus:
You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You're the inspiration
Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin'
No one needs you more than I need you....

Oh...Oh...Oh......  (Thanks for listening-I mean reading-I've got to go now conquer a mountain-of laundry that is!!!)
