Canada Day!-Lake of the Woods visit

A Sea Gull awaits our arrival on the dock.

Canada Day for the family this year was a little different then our usual street party and Fireworks at the Forks. We got an invitation from some friends to spend the day at a cabin at Lake of the Woods, Ontario.  We headed out early Wed. morning and only 2 1/2 hours later we were in paradise! It was a great day of water fun, fishing, nature walks and of course some fireworks! Oh yah, and lots of fresh air! Here are of the memories captured through the day.

Flower's in the morning light.

Someone's been busy! I think I met him on the dock-AHHH!!!

I found this gate going for a walk- It just looked so impressive in the light filtering through the forest. I found it really interesting-almost as if nature was trying to reclaim it. It had so much moss and lichen on it. You can see this in the next few pics.

Wild Lupins growing at the side of the road were so beautiful in the morning light and the bee's were so busy!

Fishing was fun but not successful!

My husband and his buddy take a ride on the Sea-Doo.

Fireworks came out after dark- We launched them from the dock over the water. We were not the only ones- You could hear them and see them go off all around the Lake.

Ebonie! That gate is awesome. I want to go live inside it. Beautiful photos!
